How I Work

I see so many family historians relying heavily on online databases and existing trees, often repeating errors without realising it. My approach is deliberately slower and more careful. I treat genealogy as an evidence-based discipline rather than a data-gathering exercise.

I do not promise results that the records cannot support. Instead, I apply recognised genealogical standards to weigh evidence, resolve contradictions where possible, and explain uncertainty where it remains. Every conclusion is documented, reasoned, and open to scrutiny.

Above all, I focus on producing work that can be trusted. The aim is not simply to extend a family line, but to create a reliable, well-documented account that will stand the test of time and provide a sound foundation for future research.
